Remote Therapy for Individuals and Couples
Are you wondering how you've become someone you're not very excited to be? Do you wonder where your motivation has gone?
Sometimes find yourself unsatisfied, unmotivated, or discontent without much (if any) explanation? Are you making choices you wish you didn't?
By chance, do you feel you should have more control over yourself? Maybe you find yourself more unhappy and frustrated than content and happy.
I believe I know how to help you feel better and make the choices you want to make.
I expect that through our work together we will reveal the power of your own reasoning, compassion, and experience. It might take a fair amount of practice; I walk you through it.
You can have more clarity about where your feelings come from, how to create the feelings you want, how to think more deliberately, and shape your choices to serve you better.
If this sounds like what you are looking for, then send me an email and lets visit about making a plan.
If you have come here looking for someone who can support your relationship then you've landed in a good spot too.
Does your marriage or partner relationship feel unexpectedly hard and confusing? If it feels like you and your person are always fighting, there are ways to make that productive.
Are you wondering if you'll ever feel in love with your spouse again? Is it hard to remember what attracted you to them in the first place?
Does it feel like forever since you and your partner got along smoothly? Have you been together for so long already and it seems silly or strange to start repairing things now after all this time?
Maybe other people are telling you that your partner is so wonderful and it's confusing because you see them so differently.
Hopefully, we'll work together and discover what attracts you two, what connects you to each other. You will find deeper feelings of love and companionship for each other.
Success will absolutely require practice outside of session. Practice looks like asking for time and space when you physiologically feel overwhelmed with anxiety or anger.
Practice also looks like respecting your partner and granting them the space and time they need when they feel overwhelmed with anxiety or anger.
Practice includes curiosity about what history you have personally or your partner has personally that creeps up subconsciously when the two of you disagree.
I will demonstrate all of these in session to give you a clearer idea how to apply them throughout the week.
I expect you to feel more understood by your partner, more aware of the reasons behind your partner's ways and wants; as well as yours.
You will practice more confidently identifying and expressing your needs and wants.
You will both learn more about compromise and how to reach agreements together successfully, and especially communicate more calmly even when you disagree.
If you want to make progress quicker then let's schedule an extended session (up to 6 hours including breaks) and cover the skills in a couple of days.
Extended sessions are not covered by insurance and must be prepaid ($100/hour).
Super-bills are available for you to submit these larger claims and seek reimbursement from your insurance or have it applied to your deductible.

________________
As you can see, over time, I've come to deeply respect the work of Drs. John and Julie Gottman as well as Dr. David Burns. I can take almost zero credit for the progress you will find in using their skills; especially if you take the DIY route.
I will take credit for how curious I am about you and what you need, when we work together. Permanent change will require deliberate effort inside and outside of session and you can do it.
Schedule a free 15 minute consultation to ask me your questions or send them via email. If I am not the therapist for you then I will help you find who you need.
The life and relationship you want is possible, if you are willing to follow the path that leads to it.
Let's get started.
